PodolskVodokanal, founded in 1917, is a major water supply company with a production capacity of 100,000 m3 of potable water per day. With one hundred artesian wells and 29 pumping units, PodolskVodokanal serves 400,000 consumers in three nearest cities.
The project's area is fully covered by NB-Fi network
The territory where PodolskVodokanal’s consumers are located is fully covered by NB-Fi network. PodolskVodokanal has already replaced old water meters with WAVIoT Water Meters for thousands of consumers. Readings from WAVIoT Water Meters are gathered by the company’s internal billing system – data come to this system through the WAVIoT MDM’s API. Building-level water meters are connected to the WAVIoT MDM system via NB-Fi modems with pulse inputs.
Mr. Semin, the General Manager, personally tested WAVIoT Water Meters in his own house. He was very surprised to know that the water pipe in the house was leaking, which was confirmed by WAVIoT Water Meter that detected continuous water consumption never dropping to zero. A small repair helped to avoid many potential problems in the future.
The water supply company expects a significant short-term reduction of water leakages and non-revenue water and increasing the accuracy of payments for consumed resources. This will lead to a decrease in operating costs and improvement of water supply reliability.
